Great News – More advertising for our sales and letting properties

News has come through from The Digital Property Group, the owners of findaproperty.com and primelocaion.com with information that the two portal have agreed a deal to merge with Zoopla!

The former rivals say the deal will create a credible challenger to long-standing market leader Rightmove.

In a joint statement, the two companies said the merger is set to be a big win for estate agents and house-builders across the UK, creating a clear alternative in a market that has had a single dominant player for a number of years.

Their statement said: “The combined business will be in a position to offer a superior value proposition and wider exposure and is expected to result in an audience to rival Rightmove, delivering at least as many enquiries to its members.”

The merger will more advertising for all our sales and lettings properties in competition with rightmove and also another avenue for potential buyers to come through. Great news indeed!

It’s that time of year once again, I believe the expression is ”Time fly’s when you’re having fun” and that phrase couldn’t be closer to the truth about this year. We saw a very slow start to 2011, but the last quarter appears to have been as busy as ever, with plenty of enquiry’s coming through, a booming rental market and more importantly sales. Although the market isn’t quote as buoyant as we all hope, it showing a defiant and strong step in the right direction and with a bit of luck, some more hard work and a little help form the banks and building society’s 2012 can be even more successful.
